Where Oceans Meet is a celebration of Gaelic and Sami culture, combining music and dance to create a site-specific performance that will take place on the coastal landscapes of Scotland and Norway.

In 2021 I undertook a two-week residency at DAVVI in Hammerfest, Norway in collaboration with choregrapher Ada Einmo Jürgensen. We worked with Gaelic musician Padruig Morrison, Sami musician Sara Mariella Gaup, and contemporary dancers Chrissie Ardill and Gerd Kaisa. We shared Gaelic and Sami history, folklore, music, and language. Where Oceans Meet will be an outdoor performance reflecting on indigenous culture and language in a historical and contemporary context, using landscape, dance, and music.
