Director & Performer
Positive Imaginings is a Creative Climate Education Project which presents children’s imaginings of a positive future in the face of climate change.
In 2021 I directed a devising process to create Positive Imaginings with the Rowanbank team of performers and musicians. The show was based on engagement workshops, led by Rowanbank, with primary school children in Edinburgh and experience and research around climate crisis education with, and for, children. The show tells the story of a character who has forgotten how to dream. We follow her journey, the issues she faces and, with the help of the children, we try to see things differently and look towards positive change and action. We wanted to create something magical, inspiring, and hopeful for our future as well as be honest and clear about the real climate issues we face.
